Edinburgh landlord features Channel 4's Fame in the Family after DNA test

An Edinburgh woman will appear on a Channel 4 reality television show this week to discover if she has some famous family history.

Natasha Wilson, a 48-year-old landlord who lives in Edinburgh, will be included in the dinner guests on Wednesday's episode of brand new show Fame In The Family, where four guests guess if the famous dinner host is related to them.

This weeks famous dinner host is legendary punk-rock singer Toyah Wilcox, as Essex-born Natasha battles against three other dinner guests to see if she is related to the musician.

The four contestants each play three fact-finding games over dinner to pinpoint childhood memories, family histories and facts about Toyah in order to work out which one of the four is related to the celeb.

At the end of the dinner party, the guests make a final guess at who they think is related before the official DNA results are wheeled out.

Every guest who has the answer right can win up to £1000, in an exciting mix of family-finding and competition television for the whole family to enjoy.

Speaking about the episode, Edinburgh-based Natasha said: "I knew exactly who she was! I knew her from my youth and my husband even has a couple of her albums.

"Toyah was really friendly, welcoming and put everyone at ease. She was a complete professional but I didn’t realise how tiny she was!"

Natasha revealed that she was originally scouted for the show after being contacted by a genealogy website. She added: "I don’t know much about my family history, I looked at Ancestry DNA two or three years ago and was interested in my origins."

The landlord also noted that she has stayed in contact with the other diners, adding: "We all had a great time, they were lovely people. We have a What’s App group and keep in contact quite a bit."

So, what will the DNA result reveal? Will Natasha be told she has a punk rock icon in her family, or will she guess correctly to instead land some cash? Tune in to Channel 4 to find out!

Channel 4's Fame In The Family will air on the channel at 5:30pm on Wednesday, March 23.
