One of the major players in the cheese game here in Edinburgh is good old IJ Mellis - they’ve been dominating the cheese scene since ’93 and for good reason.
With three shops in Edinburgh, IJ Mellis stock an unbelievable amount of artisan and farmhouse cheeses from all over the world - they’ve even opened a CHEESE LOUNGE where you can drink wine and sample the finest fromage in their Morningside store.
And now they're looking for a dedicated and enthusiastic cheese lover to join their team.

As a full-time cheesemonger for IJ Mellis your duties will include: cutting and wrapping cheese, providing a premium service to their customers and tasting, checking and overall cheese care.
What are they looking for in candidates? You need to be willing to work over the festive period, have a genuine passion for food, a good team player attitude and - of course - a real love of cheese. You'll also need to have previous experience in retail or customer facing roles.
No previous extensive knowledge of cheese is needed, but it may help your application.
