Edinburgh International Book festival podcast: historical fiction with Hilary Mantel and Gillian Slovo

On day five at the Edinburgh International Book festival, we turn our attention to historical fiction. Hilary Mantel's sequel to Wolf Hall, Bring Up the Bodies, continues her retelling of the life of Thomas Cromwell, while in her latest novel, An Honourable Man, Gillian Slovo tells the story of the British army office Gordon of Khartoum. They share their views on the genre.

And former bishop of Edinburgh Richard Holloway tells us what he's thinking about: that when it comes to faith, an excess of certainty causes many problems.
