Edinburgh Hutchison House Moat Drive incident: Police in 'stab proof vests' race to high-rise flats

Police have raced to an address in Edinburgh this morning amid an ongoing incident in the Slateford area of the city.

According to an eye-witness, police were wearing 'stab proof vests' as they headed to the Hutchison House high- rise flats on Moat Drive at around 9am.

Pictures show multiple police cars at the scene and the eyewitness added that an officer was 'wearing a balaclava'.

According to reports, there was also said to be 'K9 sniffer dogs that were being used to sniff out stairwells at the scene of the incident'.

Police Scotland said: “Officers executed a warrant in the Moat Drive area of Edinburgh as part of a pre-planned operation on Wednesday, 18 November, 2020.

A 32-year-old man was arrested and enquiries are ongoing."
