UK cabinet ministers are set to reach a decision on whether Spain and Greece should be added to the new 'amber plus' travel list along with France.
Last week, it was announced that travellers in Edinburgh returning from France would have to self-isolate for 10 days upon returning and take two tests - even if they have had two jabs.
This is despite last month's confirmation from the government that fully vaccinated Brits would no longer have to quarantine when returning from amber list countries.

Spain and Greece are now at risk of coming under the same measures due to soaring Covid-19 rates and the spread of the different variants.
Any such move would be a big blow to UK travellers and UK airlines including BA, TUI, easyJet, Ryanair and Jet2.
Business minister Paul Scully was asked whether Spain would be added to the 'amber plus' level of travel restrictions.
He said that decision would be taken at a "cabinet level".
Speaking to Sky News, he said: "They'll look at the data, and they'll make sure that they can work out what is best to make sure that we keep transmission of the virus low, we keep the transmission of the variants low, because it's the variants that are really key here to work out how they're interacting with our vaccine programme."
Mr Scully was then asked whether Covid-19 rates being higher in Spain that neighbouring France would point to Spain being added to the amber plus list.
He said: "It's not just about... we try and give people as much data as we can but it's not just about the pure numbers.
"It's also about the variants, and the style of variants, the Beta variant, for example, that's quite prevalent in France at the moment, we're looking at how that interacts with the AstraZeneca vaccine.
"And so it's... there's a lot of factors that are involved in the decisions that are taken around travel."
