Edinburgh Halloween 2021 events for adults and kids you can book and buy tickets for now

Edinburgh is packed full of things to do and when October creeps up, venues and adventure parks welcome cobwebs and all things spooky, ready to celebrate Halloween.

Even though it feels like summer isn't quite over, many are already thinking ahead to the spooky season and pulling out pumpkin ornaments.

Last year Halloween celebrations were almost non-existent thanks to Covid, but now with restrictions easing, more people will be looking to do more than just guising.

There are lots of events happening around Edinburgh during Halloween and we have a handy roundup guide for children, adults and night owls alike.

Events for the whole family and children

Edinburgh Halloween Ghost Tour

On the spookiest night, join a walking tour of Edinburgh while being told scary ghost stories.

Edinburgh Zoo Spooktacular!

Edinburgh Zoo is opening its gates after dark to invite you on a family friendly spooktacular trail through the zoo!

Edinburgh Horror Festival 2021

Edinburgh Horror Festival is back this year with a range of digital and in-person events. Ranging from a free Halloween Terror Trail and Lauriston Castle (October 23-31), perfect for the kids, to a Horror and Dungeon Tour (October 29), and a Stand up Horror storytelling ( October 28-31), there will be something for everyone.

Conifox Adventure Park's Wicked Halloween Bash.

Children can dress up as their favourite spooky character and join the mischief-making Maleficent, her daughter Mal and friend Evie as they kick start the party with a sing-a-long followed by a devilish dance lesson and a spooky story.

Showtimes run from 11.45am to 1pm and 2.15pm to 3.30pm and entry to the Adventure Park is included. The Wicked Halloween Bash lasts 1 hour and 15 minutes and will be hosted in a COVID friendly space.

Conifox Pumpkin Night and fireworks

A new event full of entertainment including fire breathers, stilt walkers and face painting for the little ones.

The night will end with a full firework display.

Where to go pumpkin picking in Edinburgh

Conifox Adventure Park's Pumpkin and Halloween Hunt.

The kids can pick their own pumpkin and carve it out with tools provided.

Craigie's Farm allows customers to pick their own pumpkin in the autumn as well as any other seasonal fruit.

Nightclub Halloween Events

Terminal V 2021

Terminal V is a biannual underground electronic music festival held in Edinburgh and for the first-time ever Terminal V will run over two days, taking place over Halloween weekend at the Royal Highland centre.

Bongo Club Halloween with Bailey Ibbs

The Bongo Club is hosting a halloween night with DJ Bailey Ibbs with tickets starts at £4.
