Edinburgh Greyfriars Kirkyard is home to a collection of haunted and cursed dolls

We can't stress how many levels of NOPE this story has before you continue, but yes, Greyfriars Kirkyard is in fact home to more than just graves - it houses a collection of supposedly haunted and seriously creepy cursed dolls.

Inside the Kirkyard lies a bothy owned by City of the Dead Tours and on the outside of the building is a notice that ends with the words "Oh and did we mention about our haunted and cursed doll collection we also have inside here…?"

The dolls reside with a cabinet (although that's not going to stop us from believing that they can still GET US) and each has its own horrifying story.

Some are believed to have caused grievous bodily harm, some are supposedly haunted and there's even one doll that dates back to the 19th century and who is so cursed that she is believed to have caused fires.

Those intrigued by the tales can watch a live-streamed event with Dr Louise Fenton on Tuesday October 27 - whose research has recently been focused on the literary representations of Voodoo, Witchcraft and Zombies.

The event is completely free and tickets can be downloaded via Eventbrite.
