Edinburgh is set to welcome a new cafe, courtesy of trading brothers Galab Singh, Bulhar Singh and Dildar Singh Gold, otherwise known as the Gold Brothers.
The Gold Brothers company owns 25 shops on the Royal Mile, and is set to add yet another to their extensive list on South Bridge, which will replace once-popular shoe store Shoe Zone.
The decision to grant the company permission to build the cafe was made on July 26, after the application was submitted on June 2 of this year.

The cafe will be able to function under the conditions of "cooking, heating and reheating operations on the premises shall be restricted to the use of of two soup urns, a microwave, and panini machine only."
Edinburgh Live reported last June how a couple said they were refused a refund after one of them developed coronavirus symptoms ahead of their stay at one of the Gold Brothers properties.
Back in 2012, the Gold Brothers were cleared of kidnapping an employee who stole from their firm.
And in 2019, Malap Singh was pulled up by police for reselling tickets at Edinburgh's Festival Fringe and Royal Military Tattoo to tourists.
Event organisers strictly forbid resale and insist ID is produced by ticket buyers.
Edinburgh Council has granted permission to the Gold Brothers to proceed with works on the cafe.
