Edinburgh's Gleneagles Hotel is now opening early in the new year with a rooftop bar and all day restaurant it has been revealed.
The famous hotel is branching out into the capital city with their A-listed historic premises at 37-39 St Andrew Square, on the site of the old Bank of Scotland.
The lush 33-bedroom townhouse will feature the all day restaurant and two bars, plus a lounge, workspaces, and gym facilities.
The two bars at Gleneagles Townhouse will be called The Note Burning Room, a more relaxed lounge-type establishment, and then there will be the rooftop bar, Lamplighters, with spectacular views overlooking the city.
The 140 cover restaurant, The Spence, is currently recruiting staff ahead of the opening.

Although there will be a members club the hotel say that the bars and restaurant will not just be exclusive to people visiting the hotel, and they hope to entertain local residents in Edinburgh.
To that end the hotel is organising wine tasting events, art previews and are creating a new running club.
A spokesperson said: "We’re deeply passionate about our city and are delighted to be working with local partners – from apparel designers to newly discovered drinks brands made here in Edinburgh, we’re looking forward to introducing you to some of our favourite innovators in the city.
"We are also working with our friends at Social Bite, Edinburgh’s leading homeless charity and our official charity partner, to support the most vulnerable communities in Edinburgh."
