Edinburgh Gin selling safes to protect your tipple just in time for Christmas

Gin-lovers who are fed up of everyone stealing their favourite tipple, Edinburgh Gin have the perfect gift for you, from yourself.

The gin experts are selling limited-edition "gin safes" that will make the gift of gin even more exciting, as it turns into a personalised game.

Rather than unwrap this present, you will have to solve a cryptic clue, which will reveal the winning combination to unlock your boozey prize.

Each box has a unique secret code, meaning it's impossible to cheat. The best part is, you can secure your gin once you've poured a measure and decide how much you'd like to share (if at all).

Shoppers can choose from a 70cl bottle of Classic Edinburgh Gin, Rhubarb & Ginger, Lemon & Jasmine or Bramble & Honey.

The limited-edition gin safes are priced at £50 and are available to buy from Edinburgh Gin's website here.

Says said Neil Mowat, UK Marketing Director of Edinburgh Gin: "Imagination is in our DNA. Since we pioneered Rhubarb & Ginger over five years ago, we’ve continued to create combinations of natural flavours that are sophisticated, sometimes surprising, but always filled with wonder.

Given Christmas is the most wonder-filled time of the year, we wanted to bring some of our own distinctive magic to the concept of gift wrapping with our gin safes. Designed with the ultimate gin fan in mind, they’ll be able to see the reward that’s waiting for them, but they’ll need to have a little fun first to unlock the wonder within.”
