Edinburgh Gin offers personalised Valentine's Day bottles for limited edition flavour

A top Scottish gin brand has launched a limited edition personalisation service allowing Valentine’s Day lovers to create a special gift for the one they love.

Edinburgh Gin's bespoke service will allow shoppers to swap out the iconic ’EG’ letters on its Valentine’s Gin label for the initials of a loved one, a long-distance friend, or even a Galentine.

Their limited edition Valentine’s Gin has been created to celebrate the special day and is made using specially chosen botanicals such as rose petals, hibiscus flowers, and pink peppercorns to the perfect spirit to match any romantic meal between two.

Priced at £36 for a 70cl bottle (43% ABV), the must-have gin is on sale now from EdinburghGin.com and will be available for delivery in time for Valentine's Day with any order placed by Tuesday, February 9.

Described as a light and aromatic gin, it has the "sweet notes of a rose bouquet" and mixes perfectly with tonic, soda, or rose lemonade, as well as making for a fragrant base in a gin cocktail.

Speaking of which, to spice up the big night, the distillery team has even created a Valentine's themed cocktail recipe using their new gin which can be found below.

Head Distiller at Edinburgh Gin, David Wilkinson, said: “Valentine’s Gin has been designed to capture the romance of Valentine’s Day in a bottle.

"Made using fresh rose petals, bright red hibiscus and sweet, herbal elderflower. This limited-edition gin is our annual celebration of the season of love.”

Discussing how he created the new gin, David added that the team used the rose petals and hibiscus flowers to give it subtle floral flavours, while chamomile, lemongrass and Kaffir lime leaf were also added to impart a light citrus freshness that's finished off with a perfumed spice from the pink peppercorns and a silky-smooth sweetness from bee pollen.
