Edinburgh Gin and top bakery serving takeaway afternoon G&T

One of Scotland's most popular gin brands has teamed up with a top Edinburgh bakery to create a new afternoon G&Tea delivery service.

To celebrate the launch of its new Gooseberry and Elderflower gin, Edinburgh Gin has partnered with one of the Edinburgh’s best-loved bakeries, Mimi’s Bakehouse, to serve up the exciting summertime offering.

From Friday 26 June, for four weekends, residents of Glasgow and Edinburgh will be able to order an exclusive Afternoon G&Tea from Mimi’s Bakehouse, which includes a 70cl bottle of the latest addition to Edinburgh Gin’s core range.

The new Afternoon G&Tea contains six mini traybakes, two mini elderflower cupcakes and two freshly baked plain scones, with Rodda's Cornish clotted cream - plus homemade gooseberry jam, giving a zesty kick to the spread.

Michelle Phillips, owner of Mimi's Bakehouse, said: "We are delighted to partner with Edinburgh Gin, another well-loved company with origins in Edinburgh, to bring people a delicious and memorable experience.

“We have had a lot of fun developing bespoke baking to pair with Edinburgh Gin's latest offering - including elderflower cupcakes and homemade gooseberry jam.”

To toast the special partnership, and the official start of summer, Edinburgh Gin will also be giving two copa glasses to the first 100 orders of their Afternoon G&Tea.

Neil Boyd, UK Managing Directorof Ian Macleod Distillers, said: “Edinburgh Gin is delighted to be collaborating with another Edinburgh great, Mimi’s Bakehouse, to give people an afternoon cream tea experience unlike any other.
