Edinburgh getting huge Total Wipe Out-style course on outskirts of the city

A brand new adventure course is set to arrive in Dalkeith later this year that will definitely bring out your competitive streak.

The "Labyrinth Challenge" will take over Dalkeith Country Park in September and will be open to both children and adults as they take on the course.

At over 1,000 feet in length, the huge inflatable run is set to challenge your stamina and skills with a series of different sections set up around the park.

Standing at over 1.2 metres tall, participants will encounter slides, balance beans, hurdles and some secret surprises as they make their way through the course.

Although the challenge is to get through the maze as quickly as possible, locals are also welcome to enjoy it at a more leisurely pace.

Arriving on September 11, the Labyrinth will be set up for the entire weekend.

Dalkeith Country Park have also recently opened a brand new Go Ape site in amongst their forest, with families invited to head into the treetops for an aerial course.

Now a permanent feature of the park, the attraction features a series of zip lines and difference balancing obstacles.

The course is also host to a special children's route for those over one metre tall, making it the first of its kind in Scotland.
