Popular Edinburgh bakery Mimi’s Bakehouse has announced that they are opening a new 'Bakery Hatch' for snacks and hot drinks on the go.
Mimi’s Bakery Hatch will be open every Sunday at 57 West Harbour Rd, Edinburgh, and will give customers having a stroll the chance to grab “bakery offcuts, filter coffee, freshly baked scones, morning buns and bread.”
The ‘Hatch Sundays’ venture is also to offer locals a chance to try ‘exclusive bakes.'
In a statement online, Mimi’s Bakehouse shared an image of their iconic logo next to a bright pink hatch, penning: “ Hatch Sundays
“Our new Bakery Hatch is almost here! We will be serving some exclusive bakes, bakery offcuts, filter coffee and freshly baked scones, morning buns and bread -- the perfect ingredients for a Sunday stroll!

Events Manager at Mimi's Bakehouse, Ashley Harley told Edinburgh Live: "We opened the Granton bakery in March 2020 and since then have sort of been in crisis/survival mode and the bakery providing thousands of cakes for online sales honestly kept the business going.
"We thought it was time the public had a sneak peek at our HQ and got to taste some exclusive bakes including special buns, scones and cakes.
"We will be serving Williams and Johnston filter coffee and Company Bakery sourdough loaves.
"There is lots of building going on Granton so we hope people from near and far can come to grab a treat and enjoy a wee potter exploring the local area."
