The team behind Edinburgh's Fore Play Crazy Golf say they are set to bring their latest competitive socialising phenomenon ‘Fayre Play’ over to the capital this summer after a successful debut in Glasgow.
Since opening their doors at the beginning of March, the firm behind Fayre Play – Scotland’s first adults-only fairground games experience – say they have seen more than 10,000 customers come through their doors, with demand through the roof.
Fayre Play will replace Fore Play Crazy Golf in Picardy Place on 1st July, with Fayre Play described as the perfect place for visitors to clown around and enjoy a "nostalgic mix of fairground favourites with a competitive edge, made over with a Scottish twist".

They can also expect all the incredible street food, drinks and live entertainment that Fore Play is known for, with loaded dogs, juicy burgers, cocktails and mocktails, with favourites including The New Yorker & Scottie Dog, along with the Clown Star Martini and Merry Go Rum.
Co-owner of Fayre Play and Fore Play Crazy Golf, Craig Neilson, confirmed that more information, including the list of games, food and drinks available at Fayre Play Edinburgh will be released in the coming weeks.
He said: “Since we opened Fayre Play in Glasgow earlier this year, we’ve been inundated with requests for us to expand to more cities, and where better than Edinburgh?
"We were the first people to bring the adults-only crazy golf concept to Scotland, and we’ve had the best time entertaining our guests since our first Edinburgh popup opened in 2020. Now, it’s time for us to say goodbye to the crazy golf and launch our brand-new experience ‘Fayre Play’.
“Just like our Glasgow venue, we’ve pulled together an amazing selection of fairground games, made them competitive and combined them with a host of brilliant prizes that’ll make you desperate to beat your pals. We’ll also be continuing our tradition of supplying some of the best hot dogs, burgers and cocktails Edinburgh has to offer.
"There are a few other exciting things we’re working on behind the scenes that will be revealed in the coming weeks. We can’t wait to welcome customers along.”
Fore Play Crazy Golf Edinburgh’s transformation begins at midnight on 17th June 2023 and putters are encouraged to book in advance for one final ‘tee-off’, before the Wee Bobby golf course is transformed into the exciting new venue.
To book a final tee-off at Fore Play in Edinburgh you can book now on the website, while those looking for more info or wanting to sign-up for tickets for Fayre Play can do so on the website.
