Edinburgh Gateway: Trains disrupted as emergency services rush to incident

People travelling on Scotrail trains in and out of Edinburgh this morning can expect major delays and disruption caused by an 'ongoing incident' between Edinburgh Gateway and Inverkeithing.

Scotrail has confirmed that services running between Edinburgh Gateway and Inverkeithing and Fife will be subject to delays this morning because of the emergency.

The railway line has been closed after emergency services were called out at around 8 am this morning to deal with the ongoing situation.

All train journeys between Inverness, Aberdeen, Dundee, Perth and throughout Fife have also been cancelled.

ScotRail said: “Emergency services are dealing with a incident between Inverkeithing and Edinburgh Gateway

"All services to and from Edinburgh via Inverkeithing will be affected.”
