Edinburgh gangster's brother stabbed outside Tesco as attack linked to Bradley Welsh murder

An investigation is continuing after the brother of an Edinburgh gangster was stabbed outside a supermarket.

In what is believed to have been a targeted attack, Mark Richardson's younger brother, Dale, is reported to have been attacked in Gracemount.

Officers have been carrying out enquiries into the stabbing, which is alleged to have seen Dale Richardson stagger through the Tesco car park on Gracemount Drive, leaving a trail of blood.

After the incident on Thursday, November 11, Richardson was taken to hospital for treatment.

According to the Daily Record, a number of local residents had reported the stabbing and identified Dale as the victim of the attack.

It has also been claimed that police are probing intelligence that the incident could be linked to the murder of T2 Trainspotting star Bradley Welsh.

A source said: “Officers approached Dale Richardson for a statement but he refused to give one, or to engage in any way.”

Police are appealing for information following the attack last Thursday night.

Detective Inspector Bob Campbell said: “This appears to have been a targeted attack.

“It took place outside a busy shop with numerous members of the public present, so we appeal to anyone who witnessed the incident to come forward.”
