Edinburgh forever home needed for unusual hairless dog duo who want to stay together

West Calder Dogs Trust have launched an appeal to find a forever home for not one, but two dogs - who are certainly a little bit outwith the norm.

Saving you an absolute bomb on an animal-hair destroying hoover, doggy duo Cricket and Jimmy are Chinese Cresteds and are hairless.

Both three years old, female Cricket and male dog Jimmy are very attached to each other and are looking for a forever home together.

With their spotted pink skin, spiky 'crested' hairdo, furry socks and feathery tail, you can’t mistake the sweet and slender Chinese Crested for any other breed. The breed is super affectionate and lively, so there'll be no shortage of energy from the pair.

However, they are known as the West Lothian centre's champion climbers and will need a fully secured garden where they can run around with each other and feel safe.

They can meet other dogs on walks but would prefer to be the only two in the home where they can have all the attention for themselves. The duo can also live with children of 14 years and above.

The centre says that "Jimmy loves his walks, playing a game of fetch and can often be found cuddled in his bed next to Cricket. Cricket is an excitable girl who is very active and loves to be kept busy. They are both happy to jump in the car for new adventures".

You'll need to be quick off the mark to apply for Cricket and Jimmy as applications close at 4pm tomorrow (Sunday June 6).
