An Edinburgh City Bypass slip road has been closed due to heavy flooding.
Traffic Scotland announced at around 8.30am that the route had been closed eastbound at Hermiston Gait. This is causing significant disruption to motorists during the morning rush hour.
The stretch affected is the exit slip towards Calder Road on junction one.
Edinburgh Live reported this week that parts of the city are set to be hit by thunderstorms and yet more flooding, with yellow weather warnings in place.
The Met Office had issued a yellow warning for East Lothian from 12pm today and the same warning for large parts of the country, including Edinburgh, from 12pm tomorrow (Thursday).
