You're wandering down the Royal Mile, pondering what to book, and there's a small beep from your pocket. It's a text from Lyn Gardner enthusing about a Traverse show she's just come out of.
Sound good? We've set up a system on Twitter so you can follow our reviewers round the festival. All you need is a mobile phone and you'll get free and instant updates from Lyn Gardner, Charlotte Higgins or Leo Benedictus as they gorge on all the shows.
Simply text "follow lyngardner" to 07624 801 423.

You'll get a confirmatory text. Once you've replied to it, you'll get regular updates from Lyn as she heads to scores of shows around the Fringe - it doesn't matter whether you're up at the festival, chained to a desk in London or a theatre buff in Singapore.
If you want to know what Charlotte Higgins is up to, text "follow chiggi" to 07624 801 423. And if you're interested in Leo Benedictus and his taste for live comedy, text "follow leobenedictus".
If it all proves too much, you can silence the Twitter service by texting "off". If you miss it, you can get it back by texting "on". And if you're feeling geeky there are lots of other commands you can try out.
