Edinburgh fall mystery as man rushed to hospital after tumbling from building

A man has been rushed to hospital after falling from a building in Edinburgh .

Police were called to Duke Street in Leith just after 5pm today following reports that a man was lying injured.

A woman hurt during the incident was also taken to hospital by medics.

The extent of their injuries are unknown.

Police have cordoned off the road and it likely to remain closed to traffic for a few hours.

A Police Scotland spokesman said: "Police and ambulance attended Duke Street, Edinburgh, just after 5pm on Sunday, June 9, 2019 with regards to an adult male who appears to have fallen from a building there. 

"This male and another adult female injured during the incident have been taken to hospital for treatment. 

"Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances. Anyone with any relevant information should contact police via 101 quoting incident number 3107 of June 9 2019."
