Bosses at Cafe St Honoré say they have had to close because a staff member contracted Covid elsewhere and worked in the restaurant before they had symptoms.
The Thistle Street eatery temporarily closed its doors on Thursday June 17 to allow staff members to self-isolate for ten days.
They revealed on Twitter that a worker contracted Covid outside of the restaurant but came in for a shift because they didn’t yet have any symptoms.
Because they are a small team, the other workers are now required by law to self-isolate as they are classed as close contacts.
Cafe St Honoré will be closed until Saturday 26 June and won’t be able to provide their takeaway service at this time.
They said on Twitter: “Unfortunately a member of staff contracted Covid elsewhere and worked in the restaurant before symptoms were apparent.
