A Leith eatery has joined a clutch of Edinburgh restaurants in a leading guide to the UK’s best places to eat and drink in 2022 - months after moving to new premises.
The Little Chartroom relocated from Albert Place to Bonnington Road in July and is now one of a hundred new additions to the AA Restaurant Guide for the next 12 months.
The restaurant, owned and operated by chef Roberta Hall-McCarron, promised a “more grown up version of itself” after taking over the former cook school and dining room from Martin Wishart.

An opening date for the eatery is yet to be announced, however it will take its place among the likes of The Kitchin and 21212 for the 2022 list.
The Little Chartroom was awarded two rosettes by the guide, placing it alongside The Witchery and Indian fusion outlet Navadhanya.
The Kitchin remains Scotland's highest rated restaurant and the only eatery across the country to claim five rosettes - the top mark awarded by the guide.
It describes those which have achieved that ranking as “the pinnacle, where the cooking compares with the best in the world”.

A new restaurant, owned by the people behind the Chartroom, is to take its place in the near future.
Titled Eleanore, the new restaurant will be run by the pair but will have a different feel, menu and atmosphere.
The Chartroom will continue in its current iteration at Bonnington Road.
