Edinburgh Dungeon bans England UEFA EURO 2020 fans wearing team strips ahead of Scotland clash

Edinburgh Dungeon have banned tourists from wearing any England-related football attire ahead of the Euro 2020 clash with Scotland.

The visitor attraction has warned rule-breakers that they face being dealt with by the ‘Torturer’ if they breach the rules before Friday’s big game at Wembley Stadium.

Anyone wearing a Three Lions shirt or carrying England flags will be stopped from entering the city centre venue in the capital.

And those wishing to support their team by donning red and white face paint also face getting the boot.

Posting on Facebook, Edinburgh Dungeon said: “Ok you pesky peasants…we’re putting some ground rules in place for everyone this Friday ahead of the big game.

“No England shirts. No England flags. No England face paint. Basically, no England fans, we mean, attire allowed.

“We decided that after Monday’s, erm, hiccup…we need to do everything we can to get behind our team, our country.

“Any rule-breakers will be dealt with by the Torturer…you have been warned!”

Edinburgh Dungeon general manager Kathryn Angel added: “We’ve waited so long to support Scotland at a major tournament again, so we can’t have the English coming and ruining the atmosphere at the Dungeon as well as on the pitch.

“We have such a strong team this tournament and we’re hoping the support of the attraction will give our heroes enough motivation to spook the Three Lions out of the competition.”
