An Edinburgh driver has been reported by police after being found to be driving not once but twice with no licence and no insurance.
Road Policing Scotland took to Twitter last night (Sunday 22 May) to say that they had stopped a Vauxhall in South Queensferry.
They say that the driver had claimed that they were only “test driving” the vehicle, however they were not in possession of a licence or insurance.

Officers say that further enquiries determined that the individual behind the wheel of the Vauxhall had also driven to the area in a Renault.

Officers say that further enquiries determined that the individual behind the wheel of the Vauxhall had also driven to the area in a Renault.
As a result they were reported for not having a driving licence whilst behind the wheel twice and for having no insurance on both occasions.
This meant that the Vauxhall and Renault were seized and towed from the site of the incident.
An image shared by Police Scotland appears to show both of the vehicles on the back of a tow truck.
Road Policing Scotland said on Twitter: “#EdinburghRP stopped a Vauxhall in South Queensferry.
“The driver was "test driving" it but had no licence or insurance.
“Enquiries revealed they had driven a Renault to the location of the Vauxhall too.
“Reported for driving no licence (X2) & no insurance (X2). Both vehicles [were] seized.”
