A frantic search is underway for a young dog that has gone missing in the south east of the capital.
Madzia Magdalena is desperately appealing to members of the Craigmillar and Niddrie community to try and find her beloved new rescue puppy, Meggi.
Meggi went missing on the evening of January 1 at around 11pm and was last spotted by a king natured local, Megan Douglas, on the afternoon of January 2 at around 3.30pm.

Megan tried to capture the seven month old close to CastleBrae High school in the community but was unfortunately unable to get them on a lead.
In a post on social media, Madzia said: “We miss our baby so much. Please be on the lookout and help spread the word.
“We want our family to be whole again. She is small and is only seven months old and will be so scared.
“We adopted her and rescued her from bad previous owners so she does not trust people but she is not aggressive.
“Please help us find her. We lost her on January 1 at around 11pm. We have searched everywhere.
“Her colour is tan/black.”
The dog looks to be either an Alsatian or a German Shepherd and has been spotted by several members of the Craigmillar and Niddrie community but unfortunately she has yet to be reunited with her devastated owner.
