Edinburgh dealer puts imposing horse statue on the market for eye-watering fee

A antique seller in Edinburgh has put an impressive racing horse statue on the market for a fee reflecting its stature.

The cast bronze style statue stands at approximately five feet tall, five and a half foot wide, and is in excellent condition.

Philip Jameson, showground manager of Seafield Shed Centre, has said: "This statue was purchased from an old estate in Lancashire, and was previously only on display at the showground as it is well-admired by those in the equestrian circles.

"It would be amazing on display in a shop front or garden, the statue could possibly date back to the 1960s as they were popular at showground and horse events."

The statue is well admired by the customers of Seafield Shed Centre, and has garnered interest from antique collectors across the capital.

And anyone wishing to take the work home will have to fork out £1,850.

Standing at five feet tall, this statue would be the perfect addition to any shop window. (Gumtree)
