An adorable winter cruise will be taking visitors from Edinburgh to see a host of baby seal pups this month.
Although a little colder than their summer days out, Maid of the Forth will be running a day trip for locals to get a glimpse of the new babies.
Taking around three hours, the boat will take a limited number of people over to Inchkeith Island over the course of three hours, allowing them to watch and photograph the animals.

Those on the trip will not be allowed on the island itself as not to disturb the pups, however the boat will stop in the water to allow for proper viewing.
According to organisers, around 500 seal pups are born onto the Firth of Forth island every year, and have described this time of year on Inchkeith as a "spectacular sight."
With the next tour taking place on Sunday, November 21 from 12.15-3.15pm, Maid of the Forth said:
"You will get fantastic views of the Fife and Edinburgh shorelines along the way, and the boat will pass close by Inchmickery on the return journey.

"This island is known as the 'battleship island' due to the shape of the buildings that were built on it to make it look like a ship lying at anchor.
"Depending on the tide, you may also get great views of the Switha shipwreck lying perched on a rock to the south of Inchkeith.
