Edinburgh dad's shock as robber approaches two little girls and then 'takes off' with their jackets

An Edinburgh dad has hit out at a man who 'approached' his young daughter and friends and ran off with their jackets in the Burdiehouse area of the capital, near the junction of Burdiehouse Drive and Burdiehouse Street.

The father told Edinburgh Live how his daughter was playing with her two young friends in the front garden of their home over the weekend, when they took off their jackets because they were too warm.

At around 2pm on Saturday 14 November, the man was caught on camera 'running along the street carrying the three jackets of the young girls.'

The concerned dad told Edinburgh Live: "The girls were running about and dropped their jackets at the gate.

"My daughter shouted 'We were so hot dad!' - It means that coats were on the ground and the guy simply picked them up.

"At that time the girls were only a few steps away in the front garden".

He added: "Cameras are running and recording 24 hours a day - he just walked along the street unaware of them."

The father, who was looking after the young girls, told Edinburgh Live that he is planning to report the incident to the Police.
