Edinburgh has been revealed as one of the top destinations in the UK for charity shopping, according to a new study.
With more and more people looking to reduce their carbon footprint by buying less brand new clothes, charity shops have becoming increasingly common destinations for clothes shoppers.
Researchers at Mystudenthalls.com found that Edinburgh is the fifth best city in the whole of the UK for those looking to shop sustainably.

It is the only city in Scotland to make an appearance on the ranking.
Areas of capital that were said to be particularly strong for charity shops were Newington and Stockbridge.
The city as a whole was also noted for its high prevalence of luxury items being donated compared with the rest of the country - with the Bethany Christian Trust in Morningside recently receiving a single £10,000 donation of designer furniture.
When conducting the study, Mystudenthalls.com looked at both the number and quality of charity shops in a city.
Each city was scored on its total number of charity shops, the number of shops per person, the average google rating of its charity shops, and the average weekly earnings within the area - and bonus points were awarded for the appearance of any boutique charity shops.
Nottingham was found to be the strongest charity shop hotspot in the UK, with North London, Bournemouth, and Derby rounding out the top 5.
