Edinburgh crash: Man in hospital with serious injuries after Newbridge accident

A man was rushed to hospital with serious injuries following a crash in Edinburgh.

Police closed Cliftonhall Road in Newbridge for around seven hours on Saturday evening following the accident.

Emergency services rushed to the scene shortly after 8pm and a 40-year-old man was taken to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary for treatment.

The road remained off-limits to traffic into the early hours of Sunday morning.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Police were called around 8.10pm on Saturday, 6 March, 2021 following the report of a two vehicle road crash on Cliftonhall Road, Newbridge.
