A new pasta delivery company for Edinburgh and East Lothian has gained a rapid following with their intricately made Italian treats.
If you follow any Edinburgh food-lovers Instagram account worth their salt you may have seen new kid on the block Æmilia, a handmade pasta delivery service who have taken the Lothians by storm.
The husband and wife team behind the new business, Kip and Giada, have both worked in hospitality for over 10 years and described how lockdown meant that "we missed the joy of cooking and serving the simple pleasure of food".
However, missing the buzz of working in a kitchen wasn't the only the issue the pair had during lockdown: "We found ourselves with another problem: we kept making more pasta than we could eat!
"That is when we decided to open up our little kitchen and started sharing our pasta dishes with the lovely people of East Lothian and Edinburgh".
Kip and Giada, who have worked in restaurants across both Scotland and Italy, are now delivering ready to cook pasta kits to Edinburgh and East Lothian on selected days with a seriously good-looking menu to order from.
It's not just about the handmade pasta (although you do have four types to choose from) - you can also order sauces and ragu to go with it and focaccia is a must (how else are you going to mop up all that sugo?).
There's also lasange on offer as well, for those who just want something to bung straight in the oven and enjoy.
Kip and Gaida said: "They say all roads lead to Rome but what good is a road trip without a few stops along the way? Take the scenic route and you will find Emilia-Romagna, a region in Italy rich with culture, food and wine.
"To us, it is a spiritual home and the reason for our name, Æmilia.
"We are excited to say that, while our ambitions now may be a little bit bigger than our initial idea, the heart of Æmilia remains the same: great food from our kitchen to yours".
