Edinburgh couple filmed enjoying impromptu dance in the sun at popular beauty spot

By Kris Gourlay

An Edinburgh couple have been captured enjoying a cute little dance in one of the city's most popular beauty spots.

The video, posted on TikTok by a passer-by, shows the duo waltzing and twirling back and forth on the grass at the top of Calton Hill.

Social media user @danacame posted the video, captioned: "This was so beautiful to watch."

As well as the footage, the soundtrack to the film Love Actually plays in the background during the incredibly heart-warming moment.

Known for being one of the city's prime spots for unrivalled views and some architectural beauty, the area proved to be the perfect opportunity for this duo to whip out the dance moves, but in a much more pleasant and traditional fashion than you'd expect.

Clearly enjoying the sunshine and tranquillity on top of the hill, they definitely seized the moment without a care in the world, kudos to them!

The gentleman can be seen wearing an orange oversized sweatshirt and the female, a jumper and skirt, both twisting and kicking their legs up as if there was backing music they were keeping time to.

Whilst most would shy away from potentially falling over and making a fool of themselves in such a busy public space, this couple thought quite the opposite.

As well as having various areas of greenery to relax and plonk yourself down, the top of the hill also presents a visitor experience with a contemporary art gallery and a huge monument, as well as a café providing drinks and snacks.
