An Edinburgh councillor has captured the moment someone is heard swearing at an official meeting.
The unknown individual is heard mouthing off on a zoom call which included around 50 other participants on Thursday morning (April 29).
While on the official City of Edinburgh Council monthly meeting, a clip had been recorded by Cllr Mark Brown of the shocking moment.
At the point in question, Tory colleague Councillor Jim Campbell had been speaking to the group regarding an issue which would require the council's advice.
In the clip, Cllr Campbell can be heard saying: "It would benefit from the council giving some guidance on how to proceed."
However, as he finishes his sentence, a voice can be heard muttering "oh for f***s sake", a phrase quickly picked up on by those in the call, who can be seen looking pretty shocked.
Despite the comment, an unruffled Cllr Campbell carried on as normal, with Cllr Brown later tweeting out the clip with questions over who the mysterious swearer could be.
In a tweet, he said: "Clearly someone was frustrated at my @EdinburghTories colleague Jim Campbell’s contribution at full Council meeting today. Wonder who it could be.."
After the post was published, followers were shocked to hear the inappropriate use of language, with one user replying:
"Someone should be apologising for their rank unprofessionalism."
Another said: "Outrageous- job must be getting to them."
It is not clear exactly what topic Cllr Campbell was referring to when the rude jibe was made against him, however he was due to speak about a local member oversight, students being exempt from wearing face coverings and the spaces for people scheme.
