Customer at Tor Bar in Restalrig tests positive for COVID - leading to closure and deep clean

The Tor Bar in Restalrig closed their doors for a deep clean after a customer tested positive for COVID 19. They've now reopened.

According to the venue, the customer attended the on Saturday 29th August from 9PM to 10:20PM, meaning that the bar had to undergo a deep steam clean.

It comes as the Mousetrap bar in Leith also confirmed that a customer who attended on Saturday 29 August had tested positive for the virus.

The Mousetrap has also closed down for a deep clean and it is not yet known if the two cases are related.

The Tor bar wrote on Facebook: "Unfortunately a customer of the bar has tested positive for COVID 19. He was in the bar on Saturday 29th August from 9PM to 10:20PM.

"We have not yet been contacted by track and trace service but we will pass on all details of customers who were present.

"Anyone displaying symptoms should arrange a test.

"Further to this development the pub has undergone a deep steam clean.

"We were inspected this morning by environmental health services and all procedures in place were passed.

"Thank you all for your custom during these unprecedented times."
