Edinburgh coronavirus deniers to descend on Princes Street tomorrow

A group of anti-maskers that oppose the Scottish Government's coronavirus policies are set to descend on Princes Street tomorrow.

Known as the ''Covid 19 Truth Tour 2020', protesters have been gathering at locations across the UK over the month of September, calling for an end to lockdowns, social distancing and track and trace - with Edinburgh the next location on the list.

StandUpX, the group behind the protests, are calling for people to 'say no to vaccinations', 'scrap the new pretend laws' and to 'say no to the Muzzle'.

The demonstration is set to start on Princes Street at midday tomorrow, with locals warning one another to stay away from the area as news of the event is shared on social media.

The city centre protest comes after hundreds of protesters descended on the Scottish Parliament building earlier in the month.

Edinburgh Live has contacted Police Scotland for comment.
