Edinburgh company Bon Tot wins Visa Christmas ad competition with awesome video that will air on TV

An Edinburgh toddler and baby shop in Stockbridge are celebrating today after discovering that their homemade advert will be aired on ITV this Sunday (22 December).

Bon Tot created the advert in just five hours on an iPhone after hearing that Visa were running a competition called 'Where You Shop Matters' .

The adorable video features Edinburgh kids singing along to Somebody To Love by Queen. They all dropped what they were doing to take part - and ended up creating a surprisingly professional-looking Christmas video to rival John Lewis and Aldi.

The ad shows the wee ones playing in the shop and singing along to the music - one pretends to be the shopkeeper, another little girl performs an amazing solo, and at the end they leave the shop and walk hand in hand down the street.

Bon Tot's owner told Edinburgh Live :

"We only had about 48 hours to make it from the moment we found out about the competition. The whole video was shot in just five hours on Saturday 23 November on an iPhone.

It was edited by my friend Kate, a theatre director. None of the children had ever filmed before, we'd used some of them for photoshoots but not for a performance like this.

"The way I look at it is that 'Sometimes Magic Happens', it's really turned out incredibly well."

None of the children had performed in a video before (Bon Tot)

They were crowned as the winner of the competition on 17 December, and tweeted:

"So proud! Our group of kids were amazing and now they’ll be on TV!!!"

Congratulations to everyone involved.
