Edinburgh comedian Iain Stirling shares heartbreaking tribute to Caroline Flack

Edinburgh-born comedian Iain Stirling has shared a moving tribute following the tragic death of Caroline Flack.

The former Love Island host, 40, was found dead at her flat in London last week. A lawyer for the family said she had taken her own life.

Stirling had been the voiceover of Love Island since 2015, working alongside Caroline before she stepped down from the show in December.

The 32-year-old comedian took to Twitter to share a touching tribute to his "friend".

Iain wrote: "Today my friend slow motion walked into heaven. I will miss her always. Thank you for everything x."

He also shared a video from 2014 of Caroline performing on Strictly Come Dancing to Robbie Williams' Angels.

ITV pulled episodes of Love Island from the schedule over the weekend but have since confirmed that Monday night's show will go ahead, reports the Mirror.

A statement on Love Island's official Instagram account read: "Many people at ITV knew Caroline well and held her in great affection. All of us are absolutely devastated at this tragic news.

"After careful consultation between Caroline’s representatives and the Love Island production team and given how close we still are to the news of Caroline’s tragic death we have decided not to broadcast tonight’s [Feb 16] Love Island out of respect for Caroline’s family.

"Love Island will return tomorrow night [Feb 17] which will include a tribute to Caroline who will be forever in our hearts."
