Edinburgh comedian Iain Stirling says he was a 'Hibs fan that got bullied at school'

Edinburgh comedian Iain Stirling has given fans an insight into his formative years growing up as teenager in the capital.

Best known for his hilarious quips on Love Island as the voiceover artist for the show, Stirling shared a brave throwback picture of himself.

The presenter who is married to fellow Love Island host Laura Whitmore revealed he'd had a hard time as a teenager growing up in Edinburgh as Hibs fan who got bullied.

Taking to his Instagram page, Iain showed off a picture of himself in his teens wearing baggy jeans and a black Blink 182 t-shirt with a sweater underneath, reports the Daily Record.

Like a true Hibee, his room walls were painted that special shade of green and he lay on a bed that even boasted a Hibernian Football Club duvet cover.

Iain, who appeared to have a violin case and remote control for the telly on the bed, had his head shaved for the picture.

Even better yet, he had a Hibs-designed pillow and a green carpet to match his room which was themed after the Easter Road side - that's true dedication.

He wrote beside it: "For anyone wondering. Growing up I was a Hibs fan that got bullied at school."

Fans were quick to comment with one saying: "That looks like Rentons bedroom?!"

Another said: "Minus the Hibs part, it looks like we’d have been pals in school."

While someone else added: "Haha you were a “sweaty” as they were called back in the day."
