Let's be real - it isn't cheap to live in Scotland's capital city and there's probably no worse time in the world to have to move house, with the average Edinburgh property pricing in at £301,181 and the average rent in the capital standing at £950.
Here at Edinburgh Live however we love a property steal - not least because a cheap AND NICE flat is a rare find in our city.
However we've done a dig on Zoopla and this gallery of properties are all available for rent at £600 and below in the city centre or nearby.
From the West End to Canonmills, there appears to plenty of properties in the capital to kick off a new year in.

If you're looking for a new place to stay, apparently Canonmills is the place to be when it comes to rental opportunities.
