Edinburgh city centre pub closes after ’Covid-19 outbreak'

A city-centre pub has announced that they are closing for a week after being hit by a Covid -19 outbreak.

The Queens Arms on Frederick Street say they are putting ‘safety first’ by temporarily shutting the bar.

In a social media post, they reassured customers with bookings that they will be able to transfer to one of the bar’s sister venues.

They said: “We are so sorry to announce that we are temporarily closing for one week due to a COVID-19 outbreak within our team.

"We will be contacting all impacted bookings today and offering you tables at a few of our fantastic sister venues.

"Fingers crossed you'll be able to join us again for some scran or drinks soon.

"Safety first folks - we'll be back before you know it!"
