Queues on Edinburgh City Bypass as firefighters battle large goods vehicle blaze

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service are currently battling a vehicle fire on the The City of Edinburgh Bypass (A720).

Police Scotland are also in attendance at the incident on the eastbound carriageway between the Barberton and Dreghorn junctions.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service have confirmed that it is a large breakdown recovery vehicle on fire and that the driver was out of the vehicle at the time of reporting.

Traffic Scotland have confirmed on Twitter that one lane has been closed to assist emergeny services and that traffic is currently queueing back to Calder.
