If you're thinking of going to see a film at the cinema tonight, then you might want to head to the Vue at Ocean Terminal.
Whether you're there to watch a feel good flick or a thriller movie, you could be treated to a few extras.
In recognition of today being Blue Monday - otherwise known as the "most depressing day of the year" - the Vue is handing out a cosy blanket, a pair of slippers and mindfulness tips.
The "Blue Monday kit" will be free of charge on request but will be handed out on a first-come-first-served basis.
The move follows new research from Vue and University College London, that revealed a few hours in front of the big screen can optimise our brain function, social connections, productivity and creativity.
Ian Chester, General Manager at Vue Edinburgh Ocean Terminal, said: "Living in a distracting world where we are always online and on the go has meant there is no better time to switch off and watch a good film.
"We are helping our customers relax and beat the Monday blues with a comforting blanket, snug slippers and top tips to manage stress.
"That’s why we pride ourselves in offering the ultimate seat, screen and sound to provide cinema-goers with the best possible experience."
