Edinburgh charity offering homeless and vulnerable free Christmas dinner and gift

An Edinburgh charity are continuing their heroic efforts by offering the homeless a free Christmas dinner on Sunday.

Social Bite, who oversee various cafe's and safe spaces across Scotland, took to social media to inform those who are either homeless or vulnerable that they can take shelter and enjoy a hot meal in the city centre on Christmas Day.

Social Bite began as a standalone coffee shop within Edinburgh in 2012 until a homeless man came in one day to ask about a job. Since then, the team have evolved into a charity and aim to do all they can to end homelessness ands help those within the city who struggle with living arrangements.

Posting on Facebook, the team also said anyone who visits their café on Rose Street will also be given a gift to open, as well as the priceless company and chat with staff members who are committed to tackling homelessness in the capital.

They said: "That's a wrap! We can't wait to welcome anyone who's homeless and vulnerable again tomorrow for a warm meal, loving company, and a Christmas gift to open thanks so much to everyone who popped in to say hi or to join the festivities!"
