Guests that have taken part in the event in the past will be able to enjoy Rex, the lion rampant, who will act as a guide after proving popular in the past. Residents and visitors to the capital will be able to enjoy the 60-minute walking tour that is sure to brighten up the darker winter months.

Early bird tickets have gone on sale and will be available until midnight on Friday October 7. The event will run for six weeks over the festive period from Friday November 18 until Friday December 30. A selection of food and drink will also be on sale for visitors as they enjoy the castle grounds.

Double Take Projections, NL Productions, Andy McGregor and War Productions Ltd have worked in partnership with Historic Environment Scotland to create the show that will be in its third year.
