Edinburgh Castle has closed following a coronavirus outbreak.
The world renowned attraction shut down on Sunday afternoon after a 'number of staff' tested positive for the deadly bug.
All workers deemed to be close contacts of those who contracted Covid are self-isolation as a precaution, Edinburgh Live reports.
Scheduled events, tours and visits have all been scrapped while the castle undergoes a deep clean.

The earliest chiefs are prepared to re-open will be Tuesday.
A statement from Edinburgh Castle read: "We are sorry to let you know that we will be temporarily closing Edinburgh Castle as of 4pm today (Sunday, December 19) following a number of staff members testing positive for coronavirus.
"All members of staff identified as close contacts are now self-isolating as a precaution.
"Our Castle of Light: Hidden Treasures event will be cancelled tonight, as are our Christmas afternoon teas tomorrow.
"The Castle will be closed to allow deep cleaning to take place, and we hope to reopen on Tuesday, December 21."
It continued: "We would like to reassure visitors that robust physical distancing and hygiene measures have been in place on site.
"We understand how disappointing this closure will be for many, but we always put the safety of our staff and visitors first.
"Any visitors with pre-booked tickets for the castle or either event will be refunded and will receive an email in due course.
"We will provide an update when we are able to reopen the Castle."
It comes as Dominic Raab has said he cannot make any "hard, fast guarantees" that more restrictions will not be needed ahead of Christmas Day.
The Deputy Prime Minister said the data is "always under review" but claimed the country is in a "better position to enjoy Christmas with loved ones" this year.
However, he was unable to offer any guarantees as he advised people to be "careful and cautious" in the coming days.
Amid reports ministers have pushed back against calls from scientific advisers for new measures to tackle the Omicron variant before Christmas, Raab offered his support for the Government's approach while noting all Cabinet ministers ask questions about the advice received.
Confirmed cases of the faster-spreading strain have risen by more than 12,000 in the UK - and London's cases alone topped 10,000, according to the latest data on Sunday.
