Edinburgh cafe to transform into late-night wine and cheese restaurant

An Edinburgh cafe has pivoted to late-night dining with the announcement of their new wine, cheese and charcuterie dinner services.

Set up in 2009, the Edinburgh Larder is one of the city's hidden gems, stashed on Blackfriars Street just off the Royal Mile.

But now the relaxed wee caff is making way for dinner options - having normally shut at 3pm pre-Covid (a real bummer for us 9-5ers who can't get away to visit during the week!).

From July 9 the cafe will now be opening every Friday and Saturday night and will be dishing out incredible locally sourced cheese, charcuterie, fish and vegan platters with wine, beer and cocktails on offer.

Tom at Edinburgh Larder told Edinburgh Live : "We've applied our same focus to quality and local or Scottish wherever possible and loads of the spirits on the cocktail menu are Scottish or Edinburgh based."

The menu will start at 3.30pm every Friday and Saturday and the city centre cafe be open until 10pm.

You can book a table for wine and cheese (we certainly require no convincing) here.
