Edinburgh buses to the Borders cancelled due to localised Covid-19 outbreak

A number of Edinburgh to the Borders services have been cancelled due to a localised Covid-19 breakout in the Scottish Borders.

Several services have been cancelled including Edinburgh to Peebles and Edinburgh to Galashiels throughout today.

A number of drivers in the area have been affected by the local outbreak leaving the company no choice but to cancel many services.

Two of the previously cancelled services including the 15:55 Galashiels to Edinburgh 18:20 Edinburgh to Galashiels will now be running as normal and have been removed from the list of service cancellations.

It is currently unknown how long the disruption will continue but Edinburgh Live have contacted West Coast Motors to find out more.

West Coast Motors said: “We apologise in advance for the shortness of the below cancellations.

“Due to the localised breakout of Covid 19 in the Scottish Borders and the impact it is having on our team, we are left with no alternative than to suspend several journeys tomorrow.

“We shall do our upmost to keep you updated on any further changes. We thank you in advance for your understanding.”
