A bridal store in Edinburgh has decided to play a funny prank on customers by making a wedding dress completely out of toilet roll.
Freja Designer Dressmaking posted the loo roll dress on April Fools' day to have a laugh with customers during this rough time.
The Bridal store made light of toilet paper panic buying, joking that they were going to start a wedding dress collection from Andrex.
In the light-hearted post, the Edinburgh bridal shop wrote: "So with the lockdown we have had issues getting silk supplies.
"So we have decided to launch our new bridal collection in the finest and rare 2-ply @andrexuk toilet paper.
"Here is the first design, can’t wait to hear your feedback. Pm me for price and order details."
Mette Baillie, owner of Freja Designer Dressmaking told Edinburgh Live: "I usually treat my clients and huge online following to a laugh for April Fools' day.
"Last year I said we had started to be a sole stockist of bridal diapers, so brides didn't have to go to the toilet during their wedding day.
"This year, everybody's thoughts were on coronavirus, so the story was that due to the lockdown of Wuhan in China, we could no longer get silk supplies - which has been partly true."
She continued: "Lots of people loved a laugh at this difficult time, so I was pleased to be able to cheer people up.
"it's a difficult time for us all. I have had all my business for the next many months canceled or moved to next year.
"All my long-serving staff are furloughed, I have started making face masks and sell them on my website to private people and client-facing businesses and NHS, just to do something."
