Edinburgh brewery's beer garden inundated with over 1000 bookings as locals pursue an outdoor pint

An Edinburgh brewery have revealed that its beer garden has received over 1000 bookings from thirsty locals in pursuit of an outdoor pint.

From Monday next week (April 26), the Edinburgh hospitality scene can reopen its outdoor drinking spaces until 10pm every evening and can sell alcohol.

Bellfield Brewery in Abbeyhill took to social media to announce that they were adding even more time slots for their beer garden to their website after being inundated with over 1000 bookings.

The beer garden is set to reopen on Monday in line with Scotland's national lockdown easing with Edinburgh chef King of Feasts is in residence at the venue and will be dishing out his famous ' refined junk food '.

Bellfield Brewery is in fact the UK's first brewery dedicated to gluten-free beer - which it produces in small batches, using traditional brewing methods combined with non-traditional ingredients.

Previously the venue was closed on a Wednesday but to due to demand they have now added May 5 and May 12 to their bookable time slots to satisfy beer-loving Edinburgh residents.

The news comes as one Edinburgh local launched a beer garden map of the city yesterday in order to direct people to all venues which have outdoor seating space in the capital - including hotels, cafes and more.
